Our Special Place
By Rich Reith
She walks in a dream,
Slowly appearing from the haze,
Coming to my arms,
To my lips,
To my love.
Our own special place
Given us by God.
She wraps herself in my arms
and suddenly I have no breath.
She lives in my dreams,
dwells in my heart.
She becomes all there is in life
to me.
She melts into my arms
slowly.
The warmth of the fireplace envelops us
as our bodies converge,
our lips meet,
and we merge into each other.
The serenity and electricity of our love
passes all understanding.
The heat from the fusion of spirits
Provides warmth to our world.
Dreams come to life
in the unconditional love we can see
In each other’s eyes.
Surely only God
could prepare a place like this.
